Chinmayi Balusu is a second-year medical student in California with interests in neurosurgery, neuroethics, medical humanities, and global health. She is the founder and CEO of Simply Neuroscience, an international, student-led organization dedicated to fostering students’ interdisciplinary interests in neuroscience. Previously, she was a Neuroscience & Society Fellow at the Dana Foundation and served in advisory roles with organizations such as the Society for Neuroscience, American Brain Coalition, International Neuroethics Society, and HFC. Chinmayi graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Medical Humanities and MPH in Epidemiology (with a focus in neuro-epidemiology). In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, practicing taekwondo, and watching mystery movies with family and friends.
